The Half Moon Bay home crowd recognized 9 upperclassmen on Senior Night at the Event Center. The team responded with a convincing victory. Led by the bench, which contributed 58 points, the Cougars' 3/4 court press thwarted the Warriors and created numerous transition opportunities. When in a half court set, South San Francisco's zone defense challenged the home team to shoot from deep. The Cougars responded making 13 field goals from beyond the arc. David Billington led all scorers with 22 points on 8 for 15 shooting including 6 treys. Ethan Menzies added 13 on 6 of 10 in three quarters of play. Reserve guard, Mario Campbell, kept the crowd engaged until the final buzzer as he ignited for 13 fourth quarter points on 5 of 7 shooting. The Cougar defense held the Warriors to 12 of 44 shooting on the night.
The JV defeated South San Francisco 44 - 27 with solid defense and contributions from all members of the team. Ten out of 14 players scored for Half Moon Bay with Ben McKnight leading in points (16) and rebounds (5). Sean Ediger demonstrated his defensive hustle with six steals and led the team with three assists.
