Terra Nova's Seniors battled to an 11-11 score well into the first quarter.  The Cougars took over thereafter, outscoring the Tigers by 40 points the rest of the way, winning 81 to 41.  HMB was led by Sam Treanor and Ethan Menzies who combined for 40 points on 24 field goal and 9 free throw attempts, adding 8 assists.  Terra Nova was led by Alex Pera and Jackson Kubal who combined for 25 points, shooting 14 of 21 from the charity stripe.  The Half Moon Bay swarming defense was outstanding again as it limited its Pacifica rival to 9 field goals for the night on 24% shooting, while making 29 field goals on 53% shooting at the other end of the court. The Cougars will host the P.A.L. tournament next week, returning home for a 7pm first round game Thursday night.

HMB JV beat their Terra Nova rival 42 to 28 to redeem themselves after a poor outing the last time these teams met.   While Terra Nova had the size and strength advantage and out-muscled and out-rebounded the Cougars, HMB prevailed due to strong team defense, teamwork, good ball movement, and a plethora of assists.  R. Bendo led the Tigers with 11 points, and scoring for HMB was led by Sean Kennedy with 15, and Sean Ediger with 9.
