The Half Moon Bay Varsity bench contributed 49 points in tonight's 79-45 win over host Oceana.  Leading the way for the Cougars were Sam Treanor with 20 and David Billington with 14 points.    They shot a combined 11 for 22 from the field and 8 of 10 from the line in three quarters of play.  Rounding out the double digit contributors were Cougar, Patrick Hann with 11 and Shark, Jovani Image with 10.  Overall, the Cougars played much better defense in the rematch than they did in their first game against Oceana on January 10th and controlled the tempo throughout the game.  

Half Moon Bay JV topped Oceana 36-25, ,moving to 7-0 in league. HMB pulled away in the third quarter with aggressive defense and balanced scoring across the team.  Jeffrey Lei was high scorer for Oceana with 11 points, while Sean Kennedy and Ben McKnight each added 8 points to lead Half Moon Bay.  Sean Kennedy grabbed 7 rebounds,  Mykola Ediger had 4 assists and Sean Ediger led with 2 steals.

Half Moon Bay's CUSD Event Center will be the location of the Cougar's next contest against rival Terra Nova on Friday night in a game which will be broadcast to 2 million subscribers as the Comcast Home Network Game of the Week.
